Introduction to the Tuesday 8-Ball League

Team Requirements

All players must be at least 21 yrs old to play in the league.

All players must carry at least one form of picture I.D.

Teams consist of a minimum of 5 players, a max. of 8 players.

Acting team captain must speak, read and understand English.

A player can play for only one team in the league, regardless of which division the teams are in.

Team captain is responsible for sending in paperwork and dues on time each week.

(Choose your team captain wisely! He/she should be responsible and honest!)

League Format

Each team will play 5 matches per night. All matches are singles matches.

The number of games a player must win, to win the match, is determined by his/her handicap.

Previous players in the league will have an established handicap. New players will start with a “4” handicap (men) or a “3” handicap (women). You are limited to playing combined handicaps of all 5 players to a total of “23” during each week’s 5 matches . It’s nice to fill up your team with good players, but you may not be able to play them all if their handicaps are “5” or higher.

Costs per Team

Entry fee of $50 is required at sign-up. If your entry fee is not paid in full by week 2, your team will not be allowed to continue playing! Entry fees are the responsibility of the Team Captain.

Tuesday Night: Weekly dues are $60 per team for the first 12 weeks of the session. The last 6 weeks of the session no dues are collected.

Wednesday Night: Weekly dues are $50 per team for 18 weeks.

Sign-Up

A sign-up night will be held on TBD.  This is the deadline to enter.  Absolutely no phone entries will be accepted. Entries with less than 5 players listed will not be accepted.

Spots fill up fast – to ensure that your team gets in, sign up early and/or attend the sign-up night!

Length of Session/League Start Time for Tuesday Nights

League play starts promptly at 7:00 p.m. There is a 15-minute grace period. After the grace period, if a team is late, they will forfeit at least the first match. Please plan on getting to your matches on time. Late starts mean late finishes and most people have to get up the next day for work.

The FALL 2025 Session starts EARLY SEPT 2025 and will last 14/18 weeks.   At the end of the 14 weeks, there will be 2 weeks of play-off games for those teams who finished in the top 3 positions. A wild card team is also selected for the play-off games; this means 4 teams from each division go to the play-offs. A banquet is held for all players at the end of the 20 weeks, at which time all prizes and trophies are awarded. Prizes are awarded for the top 3 teams at the end of the 14 weeks, and to all teams in the play-offs. A Top Player Award is given to the player with the best record.
